We are having our usual break in the lecture season while the Summer Visits programme is under way. You have missed the trip to Tewkesbury Abbey in May but this month will see the four day visit to the Isle of Wight. Details of the all the trips are on the Visits page.

There will still be one of Helen Morgan's articles on the This Month page and in the June edition of the Abergavenny Focus.

The Gunter House exhibition is open again for the season. Do visit on Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm.

  • Walks

During the longer daylight days, we organise walks around interesting areas of Abergavenny for members and for the public.
    How to book?
Booking is not usually necessary but details are given on the walks page of this website, the press and on posters.
We also arrange guided tours for groups.

  • Visits

    Derbyshire visit 2017

From May or June onwards, we visit places of historical interest, with day, evening and weekend excursions.
How to book? A list is sent out to members by email (or post) in the January. Book as soon as you can as places are now being allocated on a 'first come' basis, although there are sometimes cancellations later. You need to be a member to book for and to go on visits, so you will need to renew your membership before your visit.
