The new season of lectures continues, unusually early in the month, on 2nd OCTOBER with a talk by Steve Thompson, The Greatest Good for the Greatest Number. See the 'This Month' page and the article in the October Abergavenny Focus for more details.

Did you know that we have a Facebook page? Do take a look!

The Gunter House exhibition is open until the end of the year. You can visit on Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm.

  • Walks

During the longer daylight days, we organise walks around interesting areas of Abergavenny for members and for the public.
    How to book?
Booking is not usually necessary but details are given on the walks page of this website, the press and on posters.
We also arrange guided tours for groups.

  • Visits

    Derbyshire visit 2017

From May or June onwards, we visit places of historical interest, with day, evening and weekend excursions.
How to book? A list is sent out to members by email (or post) in the January. Book as soon as you can as places are now being allocated on a 'first come' basis, although there are sometimes cancellations later. You need to be a member to book for and to go on visits, so you will need to renew your membership before your visit.
